Police in Chiradzulu have arrested a 34-year-old female sex worker for allegedly poisoning to death, her 3-year-old daughter.

Chiradzulu Police spokesperson Innocent Moses has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Moses, the incident happened on Wednesday when the suspect, Victoria Ibrahim, left home for her business.

“Upon suspicions some community members reported the matter to us, and we took the body to Chiradzulu District Hospital for postmortem where results show the girl died of poisoning,” said Moses.

The suspect will appear in court soon.
