The country has registered first cholera death this rainy season, ministry of health spokesperson Adrian Chikumbe has confirmed.

He said the person is from Nsanje district.

Chikumbe has also confirmed number of registered cases has risen to 5 after the first case was registered in Machinga and the other four have been registered in Nsanje.

He said all the four people were in Mozambique and just came to Malawi days ago.
