Cholera claims 106 lives, MK20 billion needed to contain the pandemic

Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda this morning updated the nation on the status of the Cholera outbreak, which has affected 22 districts in Malawi.

According to Chiponda, 48 people are having the disease and one person is reported dead.

Chiponda said, by 2nd October the country recorded 3, 735 cases and as of now 106 people have died.

She said the Ministry trying all means to overcome the disease before the rainy season.

According to the Minister, government is dare need of 20 billion kwacha to help in overcoming the outbreak.
