Chisale’s case referred to financial crimes court

A case involving former president Peter Mutharika’s aide Norman Chisale has been referred to Financial Crimes Court.

High Court Judge Mike Tembo made the ruling yesterday, Chisale’s lawyers has confirmed.

The state prayed to court that it wish to seize property worthy K5 billion belonging to Chisale.

According to Chauncy Gondwe, his client has welcomed the ruling.

Gondwe said considering the nature of the case it is ideal for it to be handled by a financial court.
