Citizens against Impunity and Corruption have insisted they are taking demonstrations to the residence of Ashok Nair in area 9 against the wish of Lilongwe District Council.

Sylvester Ayuba James, told journalists in Lilongwe that the demonstrations’ shall start from Lilongwe Community Centre, via Old town to area 9 because it’s along that way that they will meet the targeted people they are demonstrating against.

He said the Lilongwe District Council has indicated in the response to their notice for demonstrations that they want the group to pass through Mchesi, from Community Centre to Paul Kagame road and present a petition to the district council.

James claimed this is diverting their intentions which include sending a message to Nair to drop his law suit against Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General, Martha Chizuma, and not necessarily present petitions.
