Chilenga asks more time to demonstrate against illegal settlement of a foreigner in the Dzalanyama forest

The parliamentary cluster on agriculture and natural resources has been unable to demonstrate against the allocation of two hundred hectares of land to a foreigner by the ministry lands due to the disappearance of the accused in Dzalanyama Forest Reserve.

On March 28th 2023, the cluster gave the ministry of lands a thirty day ultimatum to clarify on the allocation of land to foreigners.

Werani Chilenga Co-chairperson of the cluster said the cluster is still considering the idea of demonstrating against illegal settlement of a foreigner in the Dzalanyama forest.

Chilenga has also revealed that the cluster will make a final decision at the end of May when the parliamentary committee begins its operation.
