Chileka Police have arrested a 50 year-old man, who has been on the run for allegedly committing felonies in March 2023.

Spokesperson for Chileka Police. Jonathan Phillipo has confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Patro Grievin Chipatangwe.

Chipatangwe has beesn arrested during a raid operation on the night of May 10,2024.

According to Phillipo ,in March, 2023, the suspect fled from the scene while his accomplices were caught and are now serving their sentences at Blantyre Prison after being charged with 14 year jail terms on various breaking offences committed within Chileka.

He added that the suspect has been charged with various offences including burglary and theft and will appear before court soon.
