CHANCO Student Thokozani Bezai laid to rest in Mchinji

A final-year Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education student at the University of Malawi (Unima), who sustained head injuries following a road accident last week in Mchinji, has been laid to rest today in the area of Traditional Authority Mavwere.

The accident happened between Walilanji trading centre and Kazing’ane CCAP mission.

The deceased, Thokozani Bezai, aged 26, has been described by his college-mates as the brains Unima (formerly Chancellor College) as he was always top of the class.

According to former UNIMA Student Union Director of Finance, Christopher Joseph, the deceased has died while designated for the position of assistant lecturer at the institution.

Meanwhile, his older brother Nepiyala Adson Bezai said his departure is a huge loss to the family.

Bezai, is survived by a wife and a 5-year-old son.
