Chakwera’s wave will sweep across Malawi in 2025- Bulldozer Chimwendo tells opposition

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) through its National Youth Director Bulldozer Richard Chimwendo Banda on Saturday made a strong pitch for President Lazarus Chakwera’s return to power in 2025 tripartite polls.

Chimwendo Banda was speaking today at Cape Maclear ground in Mangochi District where he and other MCP gurus addressed a development rally.

In his remarks, Chimwendo who is also Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture, said President Chakwera’s wave is unstoppable and that it will form the next government in 2025.

“Regardless of the dire economic state this country is going through due to natural forces such as COVID-19, Cyclones and Ukraine war that have stalled and disturbed president Chakwera’s agenda, many Malawians can appreciate the strides the country is making under his leadership.

“Soon the country will have mega farms across the country that will help to deal with hunger for good, modern industrial parks that will bolster and transform socioeconomic development, export trading company that will employ thousands of youths in the country among others,” said Chimwendo Banda who was the Guest of Honour at the rally.

He said MCP knows that opposition parties are planning to have a grand alliance just to defeat MCP. “Koma alemba m’madzi…we will defeat them. No one will stop Chakwera’s Juggernaut in 2025 as it is being driven by the local people in the villages across the country who are appreciating his agenda and vision,”

Chimwendo further said government recognizes the importance of women and youth in economic growth, hence president Chakwera has put women and youths in various decision making positions in his government.

He also said president Chakwera is working 24 hours to transform this country through other sectors such digital connectivity and infrastructure.

“Mangochi district has huge potential in turning around the economy of this country through tourism hence president Chakwera has emphasized on better infrastructure, digital connectivity, town and city cleanliness, among others because tourism can only have increased tourist footfall when such measures are in place

“We are set to turn places like Cape Maclear the hub of tourism in this country,” said Chimwendo Banda who is also Leader of Government Business in Parliament

Several MCP leaders that graced the development rally which was hosted by party’s Second Deputy Secretary General, Gerald Kazembe are Minister of Water Development Abida Mia, Regional Chairperson, Mtandama, two NEC members Kaisi and Hassam among others.
