President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has said the Tonse Alliance government will build a 24 – floor building at Capital Hill to house ministries and departments that are currently operating from rented premises.

Chakwera announced this during his state of the nation address during the opening of the 2022-2023 Budget Meeting of Parliament.

The twin tower project is among several projects that the Tonse Alliance administration is planning to undertake during its tenure, according to President Chakwera.

Chakwera has also announced plans to construct a new airport in Mzuzu named after Orton Chirwa with funding from European Investment Bank.
