State house has confirmed that President Lazarus Chakwera will this morning address the nation from Kamuzu Palace, Lilongwe.

The address is expected to take place at 10 o’clock.

According to Stat House officials, Chakwera’s address will center on the commission of inquiry he instituted to investigate the arrest of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) boss Martha Chizuma.

In its report, the commission of inquiry faulted Chizuma and the suspended Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Steve Kayuni and recommended appropriate action against them.

However, the commission did not name people who instituted the arrest of Chizuma on the dawn of December 6, 2022.
