President Lazarus Chakwera has encouraged the general public to take full responsibility in combating Cholera in the country.
The statement has been made during the Official launch of Cholera awareness Campaign at Mgona Community in Lilongwe.
In his remarks, Chakwera said that he is very disappointed with the action done by the people from M’gona community for vandalizing the area’s health Center following the death of their relative who died from Cholera.
President Chakwera has described the action as sad development as the Government is trying all the best fight against the outbreak.
Meanwhile Chakwera, is urging all Malawians to go for cholera vaccine, seek medical assistants in time whenever they noticed some sign and symptoms.
He also asked every Malawian to have a toilet as one way of controlling the spread of Cholera.
However the country has registered 42,000 cholera cases since from March 2022 and 1,300 died from it.
