Chakwera postpones UNGA trip as Plane develops mechanical fault

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that the plane for President Chakwera’s trip to the United General Assembly (UNGA) has developed a mechanical fault.

The development has forced President Chakwera to postpone the trip to a later date.

Minister of Information Gospel Kazako has confirmed of the development, saying the plane awaits clearance from engineers.

But Kazako failed to indicate as to when Chakwera will depart for New York for the 77th UNGA meeting.

The meeting is slated for 13th to 27th September.
