Chakwera honors Salima Secondary School team at Kamuzu Palace

President Lazarus Chakwera is this afternoon hosting Salima Secondary School team at Kamuzu Palace in LIlongwe.

The team won bronze at the inaugural African Schools Championship in Durban, South Africa early this month.

For finishing third, Salima pocketed K150 million, which means in total, the school will get K225 million as they also finished as runners-up during the regional qualifiers at Bingu National Stadium.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Uchizi Mkandawire and Football Association of Malawi (Fam) president Walter Nyamilandu are some of the high profile officials attending the event.
