Chakwera hit back at critics

President Lazarus Chakwera has said that some of the challenges that the country is facing were created by the past leaders now posing as good Samaritan.

Chakwera said this at the launch of the agriculture entrepreneurship mechanization initiative at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC).

His speech is a uniderect response to former president Peter Muntharika who accused the government of failing Malawians and he said he could fix the economy in three years.

“Malawi is facing a lot of challenge right now because of the problems that the previous government left” said Chakwera. .

Chakwera added that the problems that Malawi is facing right now is because of climate change, corruption and because organizations and international countries stopped helping Malawi.

He concluded that his administration had to contend with different challenges, including tropical cyclones and disruptions to global supply chains due to the war in Ukraine.
