President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is set to defy a ban on Lakeshore conference set by his newly appointed Secretary to President and Cabinet (SPC) Colleen Zamba as he is scheduled to attend a two day Environmental Conference and Annual General Meeting in Mangochi.

The conference which is scheduled to run for two days from June 16 to 17, has been organized by the Ministry of Health in Collaboration with Malawi Environmental Health Association.

According to a poster seen by this publication, the guest of honour at the event which will be held at Sun and Sand Holiday Resort is President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

The poster has attracted mixed reactions with many questioning the seriousness of the ban effected on civil servants on Lakeshore conference.
