Statehouse Press Secretary Anthony Kasunda has confirmed that President Lazarus Chakwera will watch the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Malawi national football team and Ethiopia at Bingu National Stadium on Sunday.

Chakwera will be joined by his vice, Saulos Chilima as announced by Press Secretary in the office of the Vice President Pilirani Phiri m

The Flames will start their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign at home against Ethiopia.

This is the first time for The Flames to play in the Capital since 2019, when Malawi and Morocco left the same venue with a goalless draw.
