President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has canceled his trip to Rwanda and Austria where he was scheduled to attend two international meetings for OPEC fund development and Commonwealth meetings.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo, MP has announced this during media briefing in the capital Lilongwe.

The meetings are OPEC Fund Development Forum in Viena, Austria and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, also known as CHOGM 2022, in Kigali, Rwanda.

Chakwera has since delegated Minister of Energy, Ibrahim Matola and Minister of Water and Sanitation, Abida Mia to represent the President at the OPEC meeting.

Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nancy Tembo will represent the President at CHOGM meeting.
