Malawi President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has appointed Brigadier General Charles Kalumo (Rtd) as Director General for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services.

Government Spokesperson, Gospel Kazako, who is also Minster of Information, has confirmed the development through his official facebook page.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services falls under the Ministry of Homeland Security of the Republic of Malawi.
