Castel Malawi Limited Managing Director Herve Milhad has been released on bail.
Yesterday, the Malawi police Service (MPS) arrested Mihad for allegedly cultivating cannabis sativa, at his Kabula residence in Blantyre without license.
Southern Region Police deputy spokesperson Beatrice Mikuwa in an interview confirmed Milhad was granted police bail this afternoon.
She said the suspect is likely to appear in court tomorrow for plea hearing.
According to Mikuwa, some alleged cannabis plants uprooted from the Castel MD’s home are going to be taken to Bvumbwe Research Station for testing.
