The magistrate court in Balaka has shifted to April 14 hearing of a case involving Rose Mandiwa and her two Children Linda and Deus.
The case had been adjourned to today from 14 March after the accused were denied a bail by the same court.
The state prosecutor Gertrude Kafumbula confirmed the development saying the accused lawyers’ had communicated to the court this morning that they are occupied.
The state is still expected to parade 3 witnesses on the charges of robbery and indecent assault after the accused pleaded not guilty to the cases.
The three were convicted on 28th February for causing grievous bodily harm to a woman suspected of having an affair with her husband.
The trio pleaded guilty to three charges but had denied two counts of insulting the modesty of a woman and robbery.
The state said it would parade three witnesses to prove its case.
First Grade Magistrate Phillip Chibwana said the three would remain in custody until the case would be back in court for hearing and sentencing.
The accused are still being kept at Ntcheu prison on remand.
