The extradition case involving Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary continues this morning after it was adjourned yesterday by Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza in Lilongwe.
Chimwaza is expected to deliver her ruling on whether the defence can continue with the type of questions they dwelled on during yesterday’s session.
The defence team yesterday grilled state witness Sibongire Mnzinyathi, who is also Director of Public Prosecutions for Gauteng Province in South Africa.
Mnzinyathi admitted failing to adhere to the preliminary requirement of providing a charge sheet to the court on the charges levelled against Prophet Bushiri and his wife, Mary.
The requirement is in line with Section 264 of the Criminal Act.
