Bushiri’s extradition case back in court

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary are today back at the magistrate court in Lilongwe for the continuation of their extradition case.

Chief Resident Magistrate Matilda Chimwaza is expected to receive evidence from South Africa’s witness detailing why they need the Bushiris extradited.

The proceedings today follow a previous application by the Bushiris who want the entire extradition process dismissed because South Africa brought unauthenticated evidence which is against the law.

In her ruling, Magistrate Chimwaza agreed with the Bushiris but denied the request for dismissal of the entire case but that South Africa must present the evidence first before court and matters would proceed from there.
