Buluma allowed to tender mobile phone extracted evidence in court

Chief Resident Magistrate Patrick Chirwa has ruled in favour of the State to allow their witness – Hellen Buluma tender documentary evidence as part of her testimony.

The defense objected to tendering of some of the documents by the witness questioning the authenticity of the said evidence and how it was obtained.

But Chirwa said the witness should go ahead and tender the documents and the defense will be allowed to cross-examine the witness on the same.

Meanwhile deputy chief executive officer for National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) Hellen Buluma, who is the principal witness in the case, is back in the witness box to continue with her testimony which started on Wednesday.
