The body of Mrs Lizzie Vachhan, a mother in-law to former United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi has arrived in the country.

The body of Mrs Vachhan arrived in the country through Chileka Airport in the commercial capital Blantyre.

The young Muluzi and other family members including UDF supporters welcomed the body at Chileka Airport.

The body is currently being kept at Mthunzi mortuary in Blantyre.

She will be laid to rest on Friday at Misesa Cemetery.

Mrs Vachhan died in India where she was receiving treatment.
