The exhumation of body of late Bob Mtekama, Former Director of Criminal Investigations Department of the Malawi Police Service is currently underway is in Nkhono Village, in the area of Traditional Authority Malengachanzi , in Nkhotakota.

The process is being presided over by High Court Judge Patrick Chirwa sitting as Chief Resident Magistrate.

State lawyer Pililani Masanjala has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the process being conducted by Pathologist Dr. Chalres Dzamalala and Professor George Liomba, follows a court order in an inquiry on the cause of Mtekama’s death.

Officials from police, prison and hundreds of community members are at the site.
