In a surprising turn of events, a man who was believed to have died and was buried in November 2022 has been found alive in Kaoma District, much to the shock of many community members. The man, Gift Sikachila, was allegedly found on a farm in the Kalumwange area.

After the news of his return spread, people flocked to the area to see him for themselves. Some community members even tried to take Gift to the police, but two elderly men claimed to be related to him and were accused of using witchcraft to kill him and make him offer labor services at the farm where he was found.

This incident has shed light on the practice of Mutukule, where someone is killed using charms to make them offer labor services. Witches and wizards use what is known as mirror image under reflection, where a fake body is projected on humans while the true body is confined somewhere.

The police have intervened in the matter and are investigating the incident. The two elderly men, along with Gift, are currently in police custody.
