Big Bullets Long Serving Player Yamikani Fodya Hangs Boots

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets long serving member Yamikani Fodya has retired from active football after playing for the team for 13 years.
Fodya has announced his retirement from football on 6th January 2024 during Airtel Top 8 Cup final against MAFCO at Kamuzu Stadium.
After playing for 14 seasons at People’s Team, Fodya has managed to scoop 7 Super League, 2 Presidential Cup, 2 Airtel Top 8 Cup, 1 Castel Challenge Cup and 1 Carlsberg Cup.
In his sentiment, Fodya has said that time has come for him to stop playing football not just because of healthy issues or age but he has done it  at the climax to pave ways for young player to take the field.
Meanwhile, Flames legend Esau Kanyenda has commended Fodya’s decision.
“Wishing you all the best on your new challenge, I hope the knowledge you have gained will be imparted to the youth and will help our beautiful game to grow” Said Kanyenda.
