Anti-Chakwera protesters threaten to seal State House

Protesters under the banner ‘Mzika Zokhuzidwa’ have threatened to seal State House house to force President Lazarus Chakwera to resign or call for a referendum if he does not do so in five days.

The protesters said this when presenting a petition to Blantyre District Council Director of Administration, Hastings Dowe.

In the petition, the protesters said they are not happy with Chakwera’s leadership.

As this is not enough, the protesters have also called for the immediate resignation of the country’s Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

The protesters want Chilima to resign over his involvement in in corruption scandal as alleged by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The protesters also bemoaned high costs of living in the country.
