The Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire is scheduled to appoint new bishop of the church on December 12, 2023.

Archbishop and Primate of the Church of the Province of Central Africa Albert Chama has confirmed of the development in a letter seen by this publication.

The Diocese of Upper Shire has been without Bishop following the firing of Brighton Vita Malasa on October 23, 2022.

Canon Grant Tebulo has been on the Acting on the position.
