Ambulance Kills Woman In Chiradzulu

 A 40-year-old woman identified as Cecelia Joseph has died in a road accident after being hit by an ambulance along Chiradzulu-Phalombe road.
Confirming the development, Public Relations Officer for Chiradzulu Police Station, Constable Cosmas Kagulo, said a Toyota Hiace ambulance, registration number BT 7196, was coming from Phalombe going towards Milepa.
“The Ambulance was driven by Felix Manjomo and upon arriving at Chimbonga Trading Center, the driver lost control of the vehicle thereby hitting a pedestrian, Cecelia Joseph, who was walking on the nearside dirty verge towards the same direction.
“She sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Chiradzulu District Hospital,” said Kagulo.
Manjomo comes from Nyamula Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Likoswe in Chiradzulu while the deceased hailed from Sagawa Village, T/A Ndanga in Mulanje.
