The National Governing Council (NGC) of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is expected to meet on June 24 2023 at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi to decide dates for the party’s extraordinary and elective conventions.

Party’s Secretary General Greselder Jeffrey and spokesperson Shadric Namalomba have confirmed the development in a brief statement this evening.

The statement says the party’s Central Committee met today, and decided on the NGCs meeting.

Of late, some people within the DPP have been calling on the leadership to set dates for the convention, ahead of the 2025 general elections. (NPL)
