AIP Beneficiaries steal 173 bags of fertilizer at SFFRF depot in Ntchisi

Beneficiaries of the Affordable Inputs Program (AIP) from Kalira Planning and Extension Area in Ntchisi have broken into a smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund depot at Chitao.

The incident happened yesterday evening, whereby the individuals stole some bags of fertilizer and other inputs from the smallholder farmer.

Apparently, the people were angry with the delays to sell them the inputs after spending nights at the depot for about three weeks.

Ntchisi Police Spokesperson Yohane Tasowana said the police have started investigating the matter.

Tasowana added that up to 173 bags of fertilizer are missing.
