Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) Vice President for the South Dr. Lewis Preston Mbilizi has resigned from the party with immediate effect.

In a letter addressed to AFORD President Enoch Chihana, Mbilizi said he has resigned after careful consideration and reflection to concentrate on personal matters.

Meanwhile, the party has accepted Dr. Mbilizi’s resignation.

The party’s Secretary General Wakuda Kamanga said the party respects his decision as it is a democratic institution.
