ACB Arrests Three SFFRM Officials And ADMARC Guard For Demanding Extra Money From AIP Beneficiaries In Nkhotakota

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested three officials from the Smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRM) and a security guard at Benga Depot in Nkhotakota.

The arrests are related to alleged demands for extra cash from beneficiaries to purchase farm inputs under the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP).

ACB launched an investigation on December 4th, leading to the arrest of Gift Mkanda, Maria Chilinda, Lovemore Kandu, and Wilson Masanjala.

The suspects are currently in police custody awaiting court proceedings.

ACB has issued a warning against any misconduct in the AIP sale, emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach. misconduct.
