Gift Wadison Sakwata who was answering charges of robberies from Phalombe, Mulanje,Thyolo and Luntcheza has bolted from a police vehicle as they were taking him to court.

The suspect who was on remand at Mulanje prison was amongst 6 others and were traveling in a land cruiser reg no.2549 from Mulanje prison to Phalombe.

Upon arrival at Linje forest the suspect produced pepper juice and sprayed it at the rank.

He then immediately unhand cuffed himself and jumped from the vehicle before he disappeared into the the forest. Man hunt has been launched to re arrest the suspect.
