Police in Mzimba have arrested a prominent business tycoon – 38 year old Chipililo Malunga for allegedly attempting to rape a 20 year old girl who is the daughter of his in -law.

Mzimba police officer in charge Stain Chaima confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Chaima, Malunga took the girl to his C&J lodge close to Mzimba boma where he is alleged to have attempted to rape her.

“It was on Saturday when Malunga took the girl who happens to be the daughter of his in-law to his C&J lodge where he attempted to rape her but the girl was not interested she informed her parents who reported the matter to us and we arrested Malunga “, said Chaima.

Malunga will appear in court soon.
