Businessperson Simbi Phiri is distancing himself from a document circulating on social media, alleging that he was in Malawi in December 2021 to coordinate the formation of a new political party called Congress for Democrats.

A statement published by his company Khatho Civils describes the allegations as malicious towards Simbi.
