A 56 year old truck driver has died after his truck hit two stationary vehicles near Bembeke Trading Center in Dedza.

The deceased has been identified as Wanda Ngalande.

Dedza Assistant Police Spokesperson Beatrice Jefita has confirmed the accident.

She says, a freightliner truck broke down near Bembeke trading centre, almost closing the road, and another truck was parked nearside loading goods from the broke down Vehicle.

She says, Ngalande coming from Ntcheu direction was stopped by traffick officers 500 meters from the two stationary vehicles, but he failed to stop the vehicle and hit the two vehicles.
