Malawi leader Lazarus Chakwera will today address the nation, State House has confirmed.

Chakwera is expected to address the Nation from 8:00 pm at Kamuzu Palace in the capital Lilongwe.

However, it is not known on what boarders the president’s speech will be centered on.

Chakwera’s National address comes few hours after civil rights activists called on the president to make a public declaration that he is supporting Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) boss Martha Chizuma.

This is in connection with Chizuma’s leaked audio clip of a phone call conversation whereby she was discuss work issues regarding the ongoing investigations of businessman Zuneith Sattar.
