Police in Salima have arrested a 26 year-old man for allegedly being found in possession with a live pangolin without permit.

Spokesperson for Salima Police, , has confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Wagoh Mdoka.

According to Ndiwate, police arrested the suspect after being tipped that he was selling a live pangolin at Sengabay Blue Waters turn off in the district.

The pangolin has been handed over to the Wildlife for proper care and the suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge levelled against him.

Wagoh Mdoka hails from Mikute 2 village, Traditional Authority Maganga in the district.Ntcheu Police
