Balaka police have finally arrested Luka Dzombe, the minibus driver who fled after a head-on collision with a motorcycle, resulting in the rider’s death.
The deceased, identified as agriculture extension development officer Albert Patrick Kalambo, was left lifeless at the scene when Dzombe abandoned his minibus and fled.
Dzombe was apprehended in Ntcheu where he was hiding, according to Balaka police publicist Gladson M’bumpha.
Dzombe faces charges of causing death by reckless driving and failing to report an accident within 24 hours.
