In Chafukira village, Nkhotakota district, a two-year-old child named Christopher Selemani tragically drowned in a well.

The incident occurred when the child’s mother had left him in the care of his grandmother while she went to the farm.

According to Nkhotakota Police Station Deputy Spokesperson Chisomo Chuma, the postmortem results revealed that the cause of death was suffocation.

The community is mourning the loss of the young child in this heartbreaking accident.
