President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is today cheering flood victims in Nkhotakota District where over 9,000 people have been rendered homeless.

Chakwera is accompanied by Minister of Local Government Richard Chimwendo Banda, MP Richard Chimwendo Banda, Secretary to the Officer of the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba.

The President first visited people who are camping at Kanyenda Village and now he is at Dwangwa Trading Centre, popularly known as pa Bridge.

Chakwera has since promised to support the affected people.
