Police Prosecutor Sergeant Tiwonge Mtapula informed the court about the accused’s actions.

The suspect, Moyenda Kamwendo, denied the charge, but the state presented four witnesses to support the case.

Senior Resident Magistrate Eliya Zawanda sentenced Kamwendo to 15 years of hard labor for defiling a 15-year-old girl in Kasungu.

Magistrate Zawanda emphasized the importance of deterring such offenses by imposing a harsh sentence.
