Four people have been arrested in Balaka for allegedly breaking into different houses and stealing assorted items in locations of Mangelengele, Mgawanyemba, Machinjiri and Nkhadze in the district.

Balaka Police publicist, Gladson M’bumpha identifies the suspects as Chipiliro Munga, Bright Maseko, Willard Balaka and a 16-year-old boy.

Some of the stolen but recovered items include two Plasma TV Screens, one home theatre, six cellphones, two handbags and one DVD player.

All the suspects, from Traditional Authority Nsamala in the district, are expected to appear before court soon to answer charges of house breaking and theft.
