Motorcycle suspected thief arrested in Ntchisi

Police in Ntchisi have arrested a 32 – year – old Rodwell Moses Mphululu Langa who on May 20, 2021 night, broke into the house of a primary school teacher at Kanthete Junior Primary School and went away with a King Lion motorcycle valued at K900,000 and K10,000 cash.

Rodwell was arrested on January 18, 2022 at Malomo Trading Centre while in possession of the said motorcycle.

At the time of his arrest, Rodwell was found in possession of a subwoofer, monitor and cell phones suspected to have been unlawfully obtained at Kansonga.

The motorcycle has been positively identified by the owner.

He will appear in court soon to answer three charges: Burglary, theft and found in possession of property suspected to have been unlawfully obtained, contrary to sections 309, 278 and 329 of the Penal Code respectively.

Rodwell hails from Mpofu Village, Traditional Authority Chilooko in the district.
