Thandikile Patience Mbvundula, Chairperson of the Malawi Space Agency Task Force, has been elected as a member and vice president of the African Space Council.
The announcement came from the Malawi Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on its official page.
Mbvundula’s election occurred during an Executive Council meeting of the African Union in Ethiopia.
She will serve as the deputy to Ivorian space scientist Dr. Tidiane Ouattara, the president-elect of the African Space Council, for the next four years.
