Police in Limbe, Blantyre, have arrested Bright Maisa, aged 34, in connection with the theft of a motorbike around 8 o’clock at night near the Chichiri Flyover area.

According to Limbe Police Spokesperson, Sub Inspector Chibisa Mlimbika, Maisa hired the motorcycle (Registration number BT 12854) from Goliyo in Ndirande and told the Kabaza Operator that his destination was at Chichiri.

Before the motorbike reached its destination at Chichiri, four people emerged and started attacking the operator while Maisa attempted to flee with the motorbike but was unsuccessful.

Police officers on patrol along the Chipembere Highway noticed the suspicious activity, and upon investigation, they apprehended the suspects, with Maisa being among those caught and charged with motorcycle theft.
