Parliament has resumed sitting and Speaker Catherine Gotani Hara has said that her office will recognize Kondwani Nankhumwa as Leader of Opposition based on the court order.

Hara said the DPP Chief whip who was part of the business committee will also be given a chance to confirm the resolution of the business committee since they were part of it.

The speaker has also ruled that Nankhumwa will respond to SONA as Leader of Opposition but Thyolo Thava legislator, Mary Navicha will also respond to the same statement immediately after Nankhumwa on behalf of the DPP.
